(I had lost the paper containing the constraints that we used as a design brief) In this project, we had to make a puzzle cube using 27 spare wood blocks, in which we had a scenario set where a furniture company wants to be able to make use of their surprisingly square shavings from manufacturing furniture, and they decided to make a puzzle cube, which we have to design and make

To start this off, we of course had to sketch out some ideas, here are the final sketches for my pieces i decided to make.

We worked on making our puzzle pieces in Inventor, a program used to design and create stuff. You can also make sketches,

Inventor Drawings

Once we made all the pieces in Inventor, and did the Drawings, we then went ahead and created our cube in Inventor, i made one piece slightly wrong how ever and there is a noticeable gap.

Having done everything we needed to do, we exploded our cubes and animated them being put together in Inventor, which we used as a presentation.

(I wasnt sure what picture to put for this so i found this and decided it was good)
Here are the steps i followed to create my puzzle cube
1.Define a Problem- The problem was we had to create a puzzle cube using 27 "spare" pieces from a furniture factory to create a puzzle cube
2.Generate Concepts- We had to decide how we would make the pieces so that they fit the cube design of 3x3x3
3. Develop a Solution- we sketched ideas on isometric paper as and using inventor to design a cube
4. Construct and test Prototype- even though we didn't create a prototype, we modeled what the finished cube would look like in inventor, which is close enough
5. Evaluate Solution- After creating our cubes and pieces, we had to decide whether or not they were good designs, and take extra time if we so chose to fix them.
6. Present Solution- We have created this online portfolio using weebly, to present my solution
